The Parent/Nanny Networking Mixer Returns June 8!
We are thrilled to offer our next round of our Speed Networking Event, based on rave reviews from our past attendees! On Saturday, June 8th, from 3pm- 5pm, we're doing it again! Up to 15 families and up to 15 caregivers, nannies, and babysitters, will meet face to face, in a format similar to speed-dating: you’ll get 5 minutes to chat with each person, rotate to the next one, and figure out who fits you best!

LILA MINI CLUB (DEMO) HELD AT PLAYLAB!
Today, 66% of the world’s children are raised to speak two languages. The LILA Mini Club program teaches French to parents and children in a warm, loving, and supportive environment. Music and playtime activities help children in their language acquisition while parents, some of them learning alongside their children, are able to participate in discussions on their children’s development.
Come and join us at PlayLab on Thursday March 28th at 1pm.

New (Weekend!) Class: PLAY Music Class
We’ve had a lot of requests for music classes and weekend classes, so we decided to combine them: a new Sunday morning music class, from PLAY Music!
PLAY music is a mixed-age, parent-and-child, music-and-movement curriculum for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their families. Their weekly, session-based classes include small and large movement activities, use of props and percussion instruments, musical stories, chants, tonal and rhythm patterns, and a lot of singing.
It’s a 5 week series, running from Feb 24th- March 24th, 9:30am-10:15am. More info here.
New (Weekend!) Class: Women's Self Defense Class (Saturday, March 16th)
Announcing a new workshop at PlayLab! The “Ninja Basics: An Intro to Women’s Self Defense” class is a fun and interesting introduction to the world of women’s self-defense. No previous experience required!
You’ll learn effective fighting skills, and in turn get to know your inner ninja! Increasing your knowledge of self-defense will help you gain greater self-confidence and self-esteem. It’s also a great way to help you manage and possibly decrease any feelings of anxiety and fear that you may have in your daily life.

Last night we brought in Everclean to do a thorough deep cleaning of the whole space! They did a wonderful job working on the place. We hope you enjoy the refreshed, extra clean PlayLab. This is part of the improvements we are bringing to PlayLab, to make it the best (and cleanest) playspace in the area for you and your family.

BE SMART'S presentation on Gun Safety
Friday, February 22nd, 5pm-6pm
Join us for a workshop on how to talk to your kids about guns, and what kids can do if they ever encounter guns in the hands of other children. The presentation and Q&A is full of helpful information that will leave parents feeling empowered to keep their kids safe.
It’s not political in way, and is designed to make all parents and caregivers - gun owners and non-gun owners - more aware of how they can take easy steps to prevent gun violence.
Be Smart was developed by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, and focuses on educating parents about the importance of gun safety, specifically on how to prevent accidental shootings, suicides, and even homicides by ensuring children don’t gain access to firearms (in their homes or homes they are visiting).
This workshop is FREE with admission or membership.
